Cookie Countess Extra Fine Hand Grater for Cookies

Too rough, tore up cookie

I already have a grater that I have been using that works great but ordered this one so that I could have another one to use solely on my cookies. Unfortunately it is too rough and ripped chunks out of my cookie instead of filing it down. The one I already had (OXO brand) is much finer and works better. Not sure if this is a defect or if this is just the way these are. Will probably be returning.
