The silicone base is a must buy if you own that awesome GP-5/GP-7 low noise digital IF radio. It gives the radio a solid feel, as well as, providing outstanding protection. Buy a few extra loop antennas for GP-5/7 while you’re at it… great price. I also purchased a spare retractable SW/FM antenna. It’s niece to have replacement spares, especially when you’re in remote locations, ie camping etc.
