Exciting
What can i say ? I am thrilled. Münch is able to inject life into Debussy & Ravel masterpieces like no other. And he puts different color with his previous recording of the Ravel's works made in 1955 / 1956 with the Boston symphony. Remarkable and crisp "Valse", one the fastest in discography : tempi are rushed, caothic and breathtaking. And yes, A P. is right, nothing prepares for such Boléro reading. All in contained ferocity, which explodes in the final. Sound is very good. All right, here and there, you'll find some artefacts, but it is a nice transfer done by HDTT. Don't ask me why, but i prefer the dsd128 format over the DXD on my system.

A favourite performance heard like new.
The horn in the Pavane is sublime, but nothing prepares a listener for this recording (and remaster) of Bolero.
