I have been using Penofin Red Label on a Redwood deck for many years, and am totally satisfied with this product. Unlike previous processes of staining, there is no flaking when it gets old and all it needs is a good wash prior to new application. You have to be careful to wipe away any excess and to dispose of the rags safely, but everything else is straight forward and keeps your wood in good shape for years. (I also use it on a redwood solarium.) Finally, the people at Penofin are amazingly helpful if you have any particular problems (for me, it was getting rid of the old Sikkens stain that was applied in the 1990s.) As for The Paint People, delivery was prompt and efficient and I will definitely use them again.
