This mount seems to be able to a little more "getting knocked around" than the next model down. The next model down broke when my bike fell and it (the mount) hit the ground.
My bike has hit the ground a few times while equipped with this high grade mount. It held up! Obviously I have no idea if there had been direct impact.. Yet I feel better that this one is beefier.
I do wish that it opened wider. My phone is not huge and I have to squeeze it in, during each install.

This mount was big enough for my phone, with the rugged case on it, and the mount was sturdily made.
Quite an upgrade over the previous one I was using.
Recommended!
