Great fun
I have a lot of respect for games that allow author and player to respect each others' time, and that treat its readers like adults. This is a fantastic little package of a book - nice and compact, straightforward, great concepts backed up by some great art and attitude. My friends and I had a great time with this one. If I had to nitpick, we would have liked a little more explanation of how the magic works and perhaps a little damage scaling with levels, but those are minor tweaks at best. What's here is easy to pick up, solidly built, and fun to play. Can't ask for more than that.
