EXPLORER S - VINTAGE BRASS (44MM)

I’m actually pretty confused with the watch I received. It appears to be gold and very light in color while the pictures made it look like a much darker band. I purchased this as a wedding gift for my fiance but he hates gold so I’m really concerned that he is not going to like it. Is there any way to swap out the band? The watch face is beautiful and the engraving is perfect but the band just really isn’t what I was expecting. I’ll send pictures to compare when I get home from work. I’m hoping there is a way to fix this.
