Like playing a game

Love using CARV, trying to beat my own score and seeing how I rank for my mountain. What I really appreciate is the difference between how a good turn feels and a bad turn, and how the score changes. I thought I was doing great, but my scores weren’t as good as I expected, I changed my positioning based on the feedback and my score went up. Now that I’m more aware of what I should be feeling, my score has started to rise. Still struggling with all the audio tips that don’t make sense, but when I used CARV in conjunction with my ski instructor, things started making more sense. I take a ski camp class every Tuesday, my coach tells me what monitor I should use for today’s class, and what numbers I’m looking for. Together I’m making more progress. We’re trying to get more of the students to use CARV, but as usual, cost and technology are the issue.

Need help with this

I love the idea of carve but have not been able to put it into practical use. I always ski in a group and have never been able to successfully integrate the carve voice talking in my ear while I am also paying attention to where my friends are going and what they are saying. Would love some pro tips on how to use this more effectively, it wasn’t cheap and I don’t feel like I’ve capitalized on my investment.
