Great Upgrade!

This kit is amazing - it's a real game-changer, so to speak! ;) The installation was very straight-forward, but does require patience and some skill, especially if you are going to solder in the button functionality. For my installation, I soldered in the three (3) buttons for menu access and removed the touch sensors, which proved to be finicky on a previous installation. Once installed, the screen makes it a whole new gaming experience - the bright display makes playing older games very enjoyable. It is certainly a worthy upgrade for an older hand-held gaming device like the Game Boy Advance. Thanks, Hand Held Legend! NOTE: I originally posted this in the wrong review section.

Great product, not so great instructions

The screen is great. No dead pixels, accurate scanline filters, and good colors. The instructions were not very clear however and didn’t show that you need to insulate the soldering. I used electrical tape. Without it the select button was “stuck”, not on the console but on the display setting controls.
