Great quality kit

The padded shoulder straps are a great addition to my bag. The quality of both the bag and the straps is excellent- I use them almost every day commuting. I honestly think it’s the last bag I’ll ever buy (assuming I wear out before the bag does!). I was lucky enough to be in Pately Bridge last summer when I bought the bag and bagged some tin mugs and a baseball cap at the same time. All great quality kit from a small company with great ethics.

.. to my lovely Gouthwaite bag. These make a real difference if you’re carrying a heavy load. Really simple to click on and remove from your shoulder straps if don’t need them to take the strain of extra weight in your bag. Super swift delivery too. Great service again from Wildish.

Shoulder strap padding

I originally bought the Gouthwaite Backpack a year ago and absolutely love it. It has been on many adventures with me and I have found it the perfect size for a day walk. Over time the elements have faded the black to give it a warmth and worn look. However, I have always thought it has needed some padding on the straps. When I saw them on the website I quickly bought them. The situation is now I have brand new straps on a lived in bag and the stark contrast is a bit weird. In my opinion the straps should have come with the bag. I would have paid extra initially as the bag is premium quality and hand made with integrity.
