It’s not as light as I thought it would be. In fact when I first held it, I thought for sure it was steel and not aluminum. It is in fact aluminum, but it’s thick and it’s stout. It feels strong and seems like it’s going to be durable. Any lighter and it would probably bend easily, so overall, I’m super happy. I’ll buy another one if and when I have another bike that has the need.

Great addition to not only relocate the license plate but also a great help in cleaning up the rear fender when I eventually delete the tail extension.
