Rear Trunk Protection - PPF for Model Y

Easy upgrade that makes a difference

I purchased this PPF strip after an accidental garage door bump but after the repair I noticed other small paint ships mostly below the crease on the Juniper Model Y and with only 2,500 miles was surprised at the roughly 10 paint chips and this was after installing mud flaps. I was a bit worried I would not be able to install straight and without bubbles and lifted edges but all went smoothly with supplied kit and the results are great. Time will tell how well I sealed the edges and mostly a white color issue but you will get a dirt seem along the top if you do not routinely keep your car washed. The cut of PPF was spot on perfect and required very little stretching. Highly recommend this for the investment it's an easy way to keep the most vulnerable area of your hatch protected.

2023 Model Y rear trunk PPF

I was a little concerned with this installation due to the corner on the bumper. I watched & followed the video instructions carefully & the result turned out quite good. Not bad for a beginner. My 2023 Model Y has no bumper sensors. I used only the left vinyl guide. Once I had the left side anchored, the rest was relatively straightforward. It’s difficult to see the edge of the PPF so the picture provided is from the left side where a scratch is visible from someone’s luggage (LOL).
