Lovely fragrance but the citrus and woody notes get lost under the spice and I still can't find them in the dry down. Predominantly smell the orris, incense, and vanilla; much more powdery and floral than I was anticipating. It threw me off so much I was disappointed on the first try, but it's growing on me and if you search hard enough you can get a little bit of that delectable tree smell. The citrus, however, remains completely undetectable to me, which is really disappointing. Wish it was so much more pine-and-juniper-forward. Longevity is moderately good (lasts a few hours on dry skin alone) but sillage is very mild. Very clean and subtle. Would prefer something that projects more.

For about 1/3 of the price of Byredo's Gypsy Water, this smells really similar! The opening is a little different, but the dry down is almost indistinguishable from the real thing!

Love it!
Admittedly, I've never smelled the original so I don't know if it's spot on or not. However it's one of my favorite go to perfumes. It's soft and powdery, peppery with a little spice. It just smells like a sophisticated clean smell. Now I know the original is notorious for not lasting very long and I'd say that rings true with this one as well, I definitely find myself reapplying at least one or two times throughout the day, that could just be the nature of these specific scent notes though. It's definitely worthwhile though.
