Simms G3 Guide Stockingfoot Wader

I have never owned a high quality wader, only cheap sets. These are an entirely different thing. The fit is amazing, relatively speaking. My only complaint is that at 5' 10", 170lbs, wearing a size 9.5 to 10 boot, I ordered the "short / M 9-11" and the inseam is borderline too short, the shoulder straps can't get any tighter and I wish the bootie was a little smaller. It seems I fall into an odd sizing void which is rare for a guy my size and build. I don't believe the next size down would solve my issues, I think I got the correct size and I am very pleased so far but it is odd to fall in between sizes in this manner. At $599 through Fin and Fire I am feeling pretty happy.

First I would like to say that initially I tried to by the SIMMs G3 Waders through Sportsmans Warehouse but the transaction got botched and I ended up cancelling the order with them. I called Fin&Fire Fly Shop and spoke with a very polite and knowledgeable man who told me my size was in stock at his shop. I paid him over the phone, no problem with the transaction. I received an email the very same day stating my waders were packaged and being picked up for delivery. I. Received my waders in three days. The waders fit just right. The quality is excellent. I have used the waders four days a week since I got them without any issues. Thumbs up to Fin&Fire Fly Shop for outstanding service. I wish they had there own store merch, I would buy some and advertise for them happily.

My first pair of Simms G3 waders were purchased about 20 years ago. I fish about 30 days a year in waders, both from a float tube and actually wading. The only leaks I ever had were caused by an angry largemouth that got me and my tube from underneath. The leaks were easy to find and fix and have continued to be in service for years. The only issue with them at all is the suspenders wore out and no longer stretch. I will still be using them as spares or loaners but decided to replace them when the current model went on sale as it was being replaced. I decided to treat myself to some new equipment this year and so far, am very pleased with my choices.
