Engine enamel did not cure
I did all the proper prep making sure that everything was clean and free of scaling rust. I brushed on the black rust encapsulater first then the engine enamel. Waited untill I was able to drag a finger nail across it while still tacky between coats. Its been a week now and I can press a finger nail into the top coat and scrape it right off. Ill be stripping the parts I already painted and I'll be using something else. Not worth the 85 dollars I paid for the kit when i was expecting something better than a rattle can product. Don't believe everything you see on YouTube.

Engine update
I recently sandblasted and used Por 15 engine rust preventative system and engine enamel. Im very happy with the system and the paint. It appears to be long lasting, but only time will tell!

MY SUGGESTIONS
I used the gray rust preventative and the engine paint is the Chevrolet blue. I have painted at least five coats and the blue has not completely covered the gray yet. I still have 3/4 of a can of blue to complete the job. It is being applied to a VW four cylinder engine. I am thinking I wished I had sprayed the paint but masking would have bee a nightmare.
