Don’t buy when you can’t try them

The shoes might be fine but I’ll never know. The size I ordered was too small, so I exchanged them (postage at my own cost) to the next size up, which turned out to be too big. Thanks to the draconian return policy, the cost of returning the shoes, together with the cost of the previous exchange, would have exceeded the original price. So now I’m down a hundred euros and left with useless shoes. With exchange and return policies like this, just don’t bother.
