Not flattering on baby bump

I thought two sizes to try out as I’m a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and am almost 9 months pregnant. When not pregnant I’d probably wear a medium or large, so I sized up to try a large and XL. They both fit, but the XL was a bit more flattering with the baby bump. Unfortunately the way the ruffles hit on my hips was just not flattering (the horizontal lines) and the sleeves didn’t look right on me either. If I didnt already have another option I would’ve gone with the XL but since I do I’m returning these.
