Coming from a cheap penny board knock off that I've used for the longest time I have to say this is a suprisingly big step up, super smooth, more maneuverable. I wont be going back and I recommend getting a penny after figuring out skating on a cheaper one, so you know you like the sport and are aware of the contrast between the two
