Black rubber part of the straw has a very strong chemical odor and taste that wouldn't scrub off. Unusable.

Good straw
I like the soft top half, very comfortable and far superior to my glass reusable straws. The cutting guide for the straw seemed a little long to me, felt like I had to trim a bit farther than that to avoid the straw making a seal with the bottom of the tumbler. May have just been me though; I use it mostly for thick smoothies. It fits perfectly, and easy to clean, so I love it.
