Novelty Pedestal With Auger

This pedestal looks amazing but upon arrival, the sections of spindle disconnected. I re-glued it so I could use it, then when I put in the ground with the auger, another section disconnected. I will repair - I don’t like to be wasteful, but for the price I expected better construction.
