Gorgeous Boots!

Yes, I was scared to order them at the end of their sales "run". The comments all mentioned "tight calves". Well, all lace-up boots are tight in the calves if you do not adjust the laces so that the internal girth fits your feet. That's exactly what I did. I pulled out the laces completely and re-laced them in a simpler "series" style (less circular lacing) so that the girth inside fits me and the laces can extend and move "a-bit" as you walk in them, meaning they are still a good fit but with some room for the feet to adjust over time. And it works. It always works if the length of each boot is longer than your feet! There is nothing "safe" you can do with boots that are too "short" or smaller in size/ length than your feet are. This is why I prefer lace-up boots. They look more interesting and "ancient" almost from the Roman Empire in appearance, and they are amazingly adjustable! Win- Win!, assuming their length is a 3/4 centimeter (3/8") or two longer than my feet are.

absolutely perfect and amazing boots, i will say tho for someone with bigger calves it was a lot of work to get them loose enough but so worth it

Look very nice, the chains can be adjusted (or taken off), also fit bigger calves. Personally, i find them a bit too narrow by the toes and a bit too loose by the heel (comparred to the camel ones), but it‘s fixable (:
