Citizen Blend

Not what you’d expect from the label!

CB was my introduction to Yield. It is provided as the bulk brewed offering at a local organization, prepared in tens of gallons across several industrial drip machines. Even in those conditions the character of this coffee shone through. I will describe this is a very clean blend, a great morning brew that lands just right of traditional breakfast blends. For a darker roast, there is still a well balanced set of bright notes to enjoy in the middle of the sip. This coffee tasted best after 10 days of resting and brewed at 200F with a coarser grind. 300mL water to 15g of coffee. Bloom with 60mL of water for 30 seconds and then I slowly pour the remaining water straight through to keep the grounds wet for about 2minutes.
