Jewelry Repair - Restring Pearls and Beads

The 36” strand of pearls that my husband gave me about 20 years ago broke! I found out that real pearls are strung on a cord and knotted between each pearl (as mine were). Even though the cord was only broken in one place, i learned that the entire strand needed to be replaced and each pearl restrung and knotted on a brand new cord to maintain the integrity of the cord. It was uncomfortable shipping such a personal & treasured piece of jewelry to strangers in another state. But the Pearl Girls made it easy. I opted to use their packaging which they promptly sent. I also paid for extra insurance. Around 2 or so weeks later, my pearls arrived looking as clean and gorgeous as the first day they were given to me.
