Soft Shackle great for pulling 2wd Fords out

The soft shackle worked great for pulling my buddy's 2wd Ford Ranger out of 4 inches of sand. He didn't have any front tow points, so I attached the shackle around his front crossmember. It did get a little burned, but nothing I am worried about. I think it was a combination of his engine, the 110 degree temps and the friction that made a little burn mark on the material of the shackle. Would definitely recommend, we would have been SOL without a way to attach my tow strap to his front end.
