Never post the cap!

These are great pens, but I must give everyone a word of caution: never, under any circumstances, should you post the cap on this pen. The plastic used to make the Pilot Explorer is too soft, and by posting the cap you will unwittingly expand the inner diameter of the cap, and over a relatively short period of time the cap will no longer secure properly. The Explorer IS a great pen, but by not posting the cap the pen will only be 6g in weight. If you don't like very light pens, look elsewhere.

The Explorer is a great entry level Pilot that flexes beyond its price level with a precise manufacturing, ergonomic design and reliability. It is a light pen and comfortable to for long writing sessions. It is durable and a reliable writer. Clipped on a notebook, in a backpack pocket or jeans pocket; it’s a great daily carry pen. I’m sure I’m not the only one to hold the white version and think “Stormtrooper”.
