Alien From L.A.

80s B-movie

so worth it for anyone into movies from this era

Alien from LA feels like it's going to be an annoying family movie before you see it. The truth is, you'll enjoy yourself if you're simply into 1980s sci fi aesthetics. If you liked Blade Runner or Total Recall, you're going to love looking at this movie. The VS release provides an excellent restoration of the film. There are three vaguely short interviews that add some insight into the production and background of the movie, including one with Albert Pyun which could be reason enough in and of itself to spend about $9 on this.

She is the alien, by the way

There's nothing quite like an Albert Pyun film and nothing quite like Alien From LA. It's essentially a hidden world story with really broad and cheesy comedy and Kathy Ireland in a truly strange performance. For the current price, it's a no brainer. Jump on it before it vanishes forever.
