Not only is this backpack comfortable and offers plenty of storage, it sports a nice bright orange interior making it easy to locate small items. You’re not looking for dark items against a dark background. Moreover, this is the only pack on the market (and I have tried them all) that allows you to grab your net from the pack’s net slot while you are playing a fish. The other backpacks out there have the net slot situated at odd, inaccessible locations making it impossible to grab the net with one hand while playing the fish with the other. As usual, the folks at Fin and Fire did an excellent job and made this a smooth transaction.

This is a really good bag. There's many like it but they lack the external pouch for waders/boots. And that's a big plus.
I'm using this bag to bike about 7-10 miles for backcountry fish. The only "off label" thing I do is I put my net in the external pouch upside down so the handle is up as to not interfere with my rear wheel. I put my waders in the net.
I put my boots on the bike rack because they're bulky and I can stand less weight on me while riding.
I put my rod tubes in the drink holders and strap them up higher.
It has a space and a passthrough for a hydration pouch.
I put my Fishpond belt in the pack as well.
Really a great back. Better price than similar options from Orvis and Simm's and the external pouch really adds something important.
