Very heavy duty for a money belt

This is the most heavy duty & durable money belt I've ever seen. I love that is it made in the USA. I went through TSA and had to remove it. And TSA got upset with me for wearing it and patted me down after removing it and search all the pockets of the money belt. That may be typical with any money belt with a metal zipper. I with there was an option that had a plastic zipper, because the pint of a money belt is privacy & security. So, if TSA makes a big show in front of everyone that you have a money belt, that somewhat defeats the purpose of it. I found out later that I could’ve asked for a private search of my person, but didn’t feel comfortable being privately searched by an already semi-hostile TSA agent. I would like the nylon strap and the buckle to be a little smaller, slimmer and lighter, it that could be done without sacrificing on the excellent quality of this money belt. I seems a little overbuilt for something designed to be worn concealed under clothing. Not a big deal and now that I’ve used it once, I know better what to expect and can adapt. But being required to remove it to go through TSA is inconvenient and shows the crowd where you’re hiding your money and possibly other valuables. I wish there was a less bulky option. Still, I would (and did) choose this every day over a money belt that’s made in China. The quality is superior to any money belt I’ve ever seen. The zipper is a little stiff and I think some type of lubricant may help. Trimming the excess nylon strap would help prevent it from hanging out from the bottom of my shirt. These are little things I can do on my own to improve it.
