The 12’ pole is actually two 6’ poles with a threaded connector. They seem to be very robust, but I’m a little concerned about the strength of the threaded portion when using it to stop the boat in the current. If I can, I’ll report back after using it for that task. But, I’m very satisfied with the poles and would buy again.
