The corkscrew does not extract a cork. The "up" control on the corkscrew indicates motor is engaged. I place the corkscrew on the cork in a wine bottle on which the foil covering has been removed and it goes in part ways and stops with no avail. I tried a number of diffent bottles of wine with the same result. Now I cannot get the "down" control to work at all. I have checked the batteries and they are fine. The "down" control does notwork at all now.

Great product
I’ve had other electric corkscrew but this one is the best and the least expensive. What else do you want!
