Boucle Fur Bean Bag - Mustard

Bad design, pics misleading

Regret this purchase very much. I interpreted the way the "beanbag" is photographed (with the fabric bunched and pushed down into the centre) to mean that like a traditional beanbag you would pull the fabric up from the centre to reveal a traditionally shaped beanbag that is sort of triangular. It isn't. The bag when filled is almost round and more like a pod. This means when sitting in it you can't create a shape that gives you any back support and for me that meant aching shoulders and neck when trying to sit and watch TV or read a book. I ordered the bag fully filled with foam. When they say full they mean full. It produces a big ball which means you sit on it rather than in it. I think all the pictures, including the one with a woman sitting in it are of bags filled with beans rather than foam. None of them give a clear idea of the shape of the bag. So overall I found the pictures at best lacking useful information and at worst misleading. After a week of frustration I removed half the foam and replaced with traditional beans in the hope of making the bag more shapeable and comforming to the body. It didn't help as the bag lining inside doesn't move in sync with the outer bag. So in the end I removed the lining (a very messy process) which has helped somewhat as now the filling can move around a bit more freely. But nothing changes the fact the bag is almost ball shaped and won't ever give me the back support of a more traditional beanbag. I wish the shape was more clearly depicted in the images. The bag itself is really well made, hence the two stars. The fabric is durable and nice to the touch. But its poorly designed for comfort and for me it is only comfortable to read or watch TV if propped up against a wall with pillows for shoulder support. I don't have the wall space for that. For my needs and expectations this is very much a regretted purchase as it is effectively now a very expensive and space consuming cat bed that I'm going to try and sell to recover my losses.

I purchased the regular size in mustard. Absolutely love it. Quality and cosy fabric, super comfy. Kids love it, looking to purchase a second one.

We love our new bean bags!

Our kids love their bean bags! The colours and fabric are amazing, they look very stylish in their bedrooms. We found them easy enough to fill, although it is definitely a two people job :)
