Nice shoes but they run small

The shoes are beautiful and I get compliments on them. I’m a US11/EU44 and I ordered a 44. Unfortunately, they’re too tight and uncomfortable if I keep the insoles in the shoes. I removed the insoles so that they fit better, but they’re less comfortable as a result. I would’ve exchanged them for a size 45, but shipping to/from the US is a bit of a hassle.
