Confused about the asymmetrical shape.

The finished size of the shawl is supposed to be 47” by 35” The shawl on the model comes down to equal lengths in the front. Does that mean the back comes down to a pointed length of 35” ? ( like a triangular shawl ) I like to understand what shape I’m knitting before I start the pattern. Otherwise the pattern is a beautiful lace.
