I like the coffee maker, however when you make a half a cup of coffee, the coffee maker does not get all the beans wet. The ground beans are dry. The ground beans have to be tipped towards the body of the coffee maker in order for the water to pour over them. So that was a bit disappointing.

Fantastic Coffee Maker

After much research, I settled on the Technivorm Moccamaster. I have owned all kinds of coffee makers over the last 50 years. All of them were difficult if not impossible to clean properly with all kinds of hidden and impossible to reach traps.. The Moccamaster is the easiest one to clean and the most hygienic; it all comes apart for easy maintenance. More importantly, the coffee it produces is fantastic. Every aspect of this machine is focused on the best approach for the best. It is also a beautiful machine, a conversation piece reminiscent of a small lab. Lastly, some reviews mention that it is a fragile coffee maker; it is not the case. Highly recommended if you have the counter space.
