Crochet Sampler Afghan Pattern

I’m very disappointed in this pattern. There are no photos with the directions for each square so you have no idea what the end result will look like. There are a few squares in the blanket that I don’t want to make, but I have no idea which pattern is for which square. Not sure I’ll ever even try to make this.

some of the instructions are difficult to follow and the recommended hook size did not give the correct guage

It is the perfect Afghan for a Christmas present made from left over yarn.
