I am a Pacific Islander myself; I love the mission of this company and the products are beautiful. When I carry this bag, I feel pride. I was excited to purchase this woven Lauhala tote. Unfortunately, the edges at the bottom are crumbling. This appears to be the weakest part of the bag, as the leatherwork is of good quality. I have had this bag for about a month. I am gentle with my belongings and I’ve only taken this tote on a few weekend trips. I’m unsure of how long this tote will last and expected more for the price. I would not recommend this to a friend unless the company finds a way to make the edges stronger. After all, this is a tote. It appears that there is not a way to repair this either and I don’t want to purchase disposable goods. Mahalo!
