A fine intro to raw puer and a great daily-drinker. It has the classic aroma of under-ripened apricots and a cup character of a wild jungle.

Astonishingly good for the right price. Opened up the pu'er "genre" for me, and holds up quite well next to stuff I've purchased since.

It’s a solid basic Sheng, my husband who doesn’t really drink puer preferred it over Root, I personally think it’s one note, not the deep lingering taste I look for, it’s ok, but I personally like a more complex sheng that changes more. An easy entry puer.

I think my taste buds are still getting in tune with Puerh as unfortunately I don't yet detect the noticeable difference between the raw versus ripe. I've read different research on whether there is a biologically beneficial difference between the two and as it stands so far the answer is no.
