Why even have them stuck together if they can't interact?
I will admit, and maybe everybody else already knew better, but I was expecting to be able to have the two puzzles meaningfully interact -- swapping pieces back and forth and so on. But that's impossible with this puzzle. What you really get is a bandaged 3x3x3, where one column is totally fixed, so (depending on how you're looking at it) you simply can't do U or D turns. Then you have another cube stuck to it on the bandaged column. Now there's nothing wrong with a bandaged cube, honestly it sounds cool enough, but it just seems a little over-elaborate to have two cubes, and all the engineering complexity that brings, when you basically solve them one at a time. Anyway I shouldn't complain to. It certainly works to intimidate your non-puzzler friends, if that's something you're into. You need to be a bit gentle with it, but that's pretty standard for non-WCA puzzles, and I haven't had any pops or anything. I don't regret buying it and I don't dislike it; I was just expecting something a bit more.

Fun
This is a lot of fun. It is frustrating at first, but not too difficult. Just 2-3 more algorithms than the 3x3 has, I enjoy solving this. The quality of the puzzle itself isn’t great, but it’s pretty good and has a weird satisfaction to turning it. I’m glad I purchased!
