Musical and didactic

The piece is a very engaging musically and very well composed. Also, they are very good for working on hand positioning, shifting, and pitch.

Viola player

Im a viola player who heard some of these etudes and really wanted to study the score and maybe transpose for personal use. I’ve given them a few read throughs, which confirmed that this is excellent writing, challenging playing, and an intriguing musical idiom.

Challenging but rewarding

The exercises and etudes are very challenging at first but after you get them under your fingers they flow and are rewarding to play
