Took girls parents to the beach used 170cm pole in front and 125cm in back. Amazing shade and everyone that walked by was super curious. Looked dope.

no sun protection, disappointed

I bought the Ivory tarp and took it to the beach for the first time last weekend. It was 80 degrees. Both my three year old and I were burning up sitting under this tarp. I guess is that this Ivory tarp is too sheer to provide any sun protection or comfort. We had to leave after sitting under this tarp for 15 mins. I forgot to take photos but the shade provided by this tarp is definitely much lighter than the other tents we saw on that beach. When I bought it, I checked out both ivory and brown colors which list the same material with same PU coating. Not sure if the brown one provides more sun protection but the ivory one definitely doesn't. I do like the size of this tarp which can easily fit in a backpack. I am debating if I should buy a brown one to layer it on top of the ivory tarp for better sun protection? It would be helpful to know how that PU coating translates to UPFs. It is important to know the level of sun protection people will get under this tarp.

Snow peak penta tarp

Easy to set up and spacious for one or maybe two. The light weight is a plus and the ivory colour make it easy to see those flying insects… good in a way….
