We like hand-made for the slight variations that come along with them - but a more stringent control can be made with QC - in this case, where the rattan bends, it shouldn't also be where the rattan connects with an extension - to ensure longevity (and consequently, eco-friendliness) - same reason we didn't opt to return/exchange to pass on a future problem.
