Perfect bean soup for winter's day

I've been hearing about Rancho Gordo beans for a long while and always wanted to try them. After watching a few how-to cook videos, I ordered these as a surprise for my husband who has fond childhood memories of bean soup at home. The beans arrived quickly and I cooked them immediately. The soup was perfect and I am so happy to find a supplier where I can try out different varieties of this popular bean!
