Bourbon Vanilla Beans Grade A (15-22cm)

The beans seem good but the plastic packing wasn't vacuum sealed as advertised, likely affecting the freshness. Probably should have checked this before shipping.

Recipe for Vanilla Bean Syrup

Best quality Vanilla Beans I have used for 20 years.I use this syrup for Christmas Almond cakes, custards , stewed fruits etc. 4 beans soak in cup of water with 1/4 cup cf Brandy or Cognac overnight , split beans and scrape out vanilla, cut beans in half , then add 1 cup of sugar, simmer until mixture thickens to a honey consistent syrup. Store in a jar. Will keep indefinitely, it will crystalise eventually , just heat gently to reverse back . Wonderful added to rice puddings etc.
