Pandora Warm Boots Black (with laces)

I just purchased the Pandora Warm Boots Black (with laces). I love many things about these boots (they are comfortable, fit my wide feet and look excellent. The sole has also been good in the icy Copenhagen conditions. However. The sole is so thin that it’s like wearing those “barefoot” shoes. I feel every corner of the cobblestones and my feet get cold because there is little insulation (despite the wool lining). Can it really be correct that the soles should be so thin?
