Great add-on to my collection.

This is a great add-on to my Sainsmart CNC 3018 pro. It is well made and strong enough to do my projects.

This Z axis unit component is well machined aluminum body parts with a quality look and feels precise and tight without any fit slop. It comes with a 45mm insert to fit either a 44mm spindle or without use a 52mm spindle. I am very happy with the quality look of it. I purchased the Version2 model with a shorter height spindle clamp to help with Z axis clearance for the 3040 base extension upgrade that I am doing. I am using the aluminum/mdf spoilboard upgrade kit and this short height spindle clamp will help equalize the extra 9mm thickness of the MDF panel for the alumimum track boards mount. I encountered some adjustments that needed to be made with the 3040 table upgrade but nothing concerning this spindle unit. Of course, the greater adjustability of the shorter height spindle clamp is always variable according to the actual thickness of the different carving materials.

Much more rigid than the stock piece. My machine is generic so I did have to do some fitting. No problem works like it is supposed to.
