ECM Angled Bottomless Portafilter

I bought the ECM bottomless portafilter for my Technika VI because I wanted to see exactly what was happening during extraction rather than just judging the results in the cup. It’s been particularly useful when dialing in new beans and making adjustments to my grind and puck preparation. You start noticing little things about your extraction that would otherwise go unnoticed. I also appreciate that it’s an ECM accessory, so it looks right at home with the machine. The quality, fit, and overall experience have been excellent. My only frustration is that the handle seems impossible to unscrew. While I’m perfectly happy with the original handle, I’d like the option of replacing it with a wooden one at some point. I’ve tried removing it without success, which is disappointing for an accessory at this price. Aside from that one issue, I really have no complaints. It’s a great addition to my espresso setup and has made dialing in my shots both easier and more interesting.

Very high quality bottomless portafilter that matches my Profitec 600 well. The triple shot basket seems very high quality, although I have stuck with my double shot basket. I would have preferred that the portafilter handle was not angled, but that's a minor quibble and a matter of preference. The price was quite a bit cheaper than other sellers, so very pleased with the purchase.
