Petal Shadow

Indeed, what s gorgeous petal shadow color! Im painting a white Southwestern Prickly Poppy using this for the cool shadows and sage green for the warm shadows. SO SO pretty. I should have ordered a larger tube!

Beautiful Granulation

I did a watercolour sketch using just this paint, a little imaginary landscape. It granulated beautifully into blues, pinks and lavender. My partner snaffled the painting and framed it but I think it’s merit had more to do with the painting and than any skill on my part!

Petal Shadows. Beautiful Color for Delicate Shadows

This is the first watercolor I’ve purchased from Jackman’s and I’m very impressed. Petal Shadow is a beautiful color, perfect for painting shadows in white flowers, which are notoriously difficult to shade well. The granulation is clearly visible and adds a lovely texture and depth to the painting. The color itself is elegant and subtle, creating natural-looking shadows without overpowering the petals. So far I’ve mainly used it for floral subjects, but I’m looking forward to trying it in other paintings as well. I will definitely purchase more colors from Jackman’s in the future.
