Anvil 27

I purchased this after my almost 30-year-old Tamrac 787 has a piece that came loose (no tears or other damage) that holds a connection piece for one of the shoulder straps. Tamrac stated they no longer do repairs and have not had time to track down someone to repair it. The backpack is still in otherwise great shape! The Anvil 27 is the replacement for the 787 but after receiving it, I learned that Tamrac has significantly lowered their quality standards! The padding for the camera gear is much thinner. The much thinner padding for the shoulder straps is grossly inadequate. My shoulders start hurting after about 10 minutes without fully loading the pack. It does not take 30 minutes before the horribly designed straps make this am unbearable backpack to wear. I can wear a fully loaded 787 and it would take hours before it would start bothering me but I could still wear it all day hiking or on a city excursion. Very disappointed with the new backpack!

A bag had issue and I finally told them and they gave me replacement and its much better. but always these bags work great. I love how they padding makes heavy weight feel better. never had a bag like this. thank you ! great bags ! they work perfect for needs of all kinds, at times I move the inner walls around to do different work.

I love the Anvil 27 backpack. Holds all of my gear including my 300 2.8. Very comfortable on the back.
