Much less translucent than I thought they would be.

Each dice set is unique and different due to the manufacturing process. That being said, this review is based on the dice that I had received and may not be true for all sets of this type of dice. I had ordered two sets of these dice, as I tend to order in pairs for a playset and this review includes both sets. Pros: The inking is clean and clear and the design is gorgeous. The dice are easy to read and do evoke that science fiction feel to them with the digital style numbering. Cons: There was just so much more opaque purple in the dice than transparent green. This took away considerably from the foiling effect inside and made the dice opaque instead of transparent. Even with under-lighting to highlight the transparency, very few of the dice that I received matched the product images as none of them allowed the light all the way through. While disappointing, I still would have ordered the dice knowing this. My expectations would have been very different though. The vast difference between the actual product and the pictures is why I give these dice an average rating.
