I used Gustav Bernardel for years. I just switched to Hill Dark. It was instantly different. My bow grabbed the strings better and the resulting physical or mental effect surprised me. My bow felt more a part of my wrist and hand. My violin felt like it fit me better, it felt better vibrating against my collarbone and the tone sounded so much better. Call it my imagination or real, I'm sticking with Hill Dark and will order a cake to travel in my case. Eureka!
